Fall Down - Stand Up

My first morning in the Land of the Rising Sun, and this is the view from my Tokyo hotel room.

Clients often tell me they get discouraged after receiving a few knock backs or set backs.

Usually I will talk about the metaphor of a baby learning to walk. Does the parent say "Oh well, you tried, you gave it a shot, you fell over, you just can't do it, you'll never be able to walk?" No, the parent is going to say something along the lines of "My baby will keep trying UNTIL he can walk!"

However since we are in Japan, today we'll go with a Japanese proverb "Fall down seven times, stand up eight." which means "When life knocks you down, stand back up / Keep trying." Keep trying UNTIL you succeed.

To your success,
Trevor Long
